kivd (alpha-ketoisovalerate decarboxylase)

This is the coding sequence of "kivd" from Lactococcus lactis subsp. It encodes alpha-ketoisovalerate decarboxylase which is responsible for the decarboxylation into aldehydes of α-keto acids derived from amino acid transamination. This gene plays the vital part of the isobutanol biosynthesis pathway. Following is the isobutanol biosythesis pathway. Pathway.png
Our team has mutate the function of RE site within the original "kivd".
