Applications of BBa_K590002

The part is contributed to the [http://2011.igem.org/Team:Washington/Magnetosomes/Background Magnetosome toolkit]. It served as the template to amplify the Gibson Cloning friendly version of J to make Part:BBa_K90017, and Part: BBa_K590020. The repetitive region in the middle of the mamJ sequence made it tricky to verify, we turned to the Komeili lab help, and we were suggested to use CGGTGTCCGTCTCCGA as the primer to verify the middle part of J sequence.


We also tried to fuse mamJ with fluorescent proteins on 1A3 backbone, although we could not verify the correct sequence, we observed some interesting expressions at the interesting images below.
