Usage and Biology

This mutant Aldehyde Decarbonylase has a amino acid change from tyrosine , Y, to tryptophan, W, at residue 21. University of Washington 2011 iGEM Team has designed this mutant ADC with a goal to produce C13 alkanes when it works with Acyl-ACP Reducatse, AAR.
