Composite p(tetR) - Dendra2
Description
Biobrick BBa_K515007, a translational subunit under the control of promoter Dendra is a photoconvertible protein. In its natural state, it is excited and emits at 486 and 505nm, respectively. It can be converted to be excited at 558nm and consequently emit at 575nm by single-photon stimulation. Conversion can be efficiently achieved at wavelengths of both 488 and 405nm (Gurskaya et al., 2006). However, the cytotoxic wavelength of 405 converts Dendra more efficiently (data not shown).
