J23100 promoter - PA2652

Description

Transmembrane chemoreceptor PA2652 coding sequence, with included optimised insulator and RBS (BBa_K515002), expression is under the control of the constitutive promoter J23100 (BBa_J23100). Device is used as an additional chemoreceptor to E. coli endogenous chemotaxis pathway. Device responds to L (-) Malic acid, linear formula (HO2CCH2CH(OH)CO2H).

Compatibility

Device has been tested in E. coli DH5α strain, inserted in vector backbone pSB1C3. Note that device is only functional in motile strains of E. coli.
