Promoter for grpE gene - Heat Shock and Ultrasound Sensitive

According to Vollmer, et. al in their 1998 Applied and Enviormental Microbiology paper, "Bacterial Stress Responses to 1-Megahertz Pulsed Ultrasound in the Presence of Microbubble", the promoter for the grpE gene, a known heat shock promoter, is upregulated 24 times when cells are exposed to high frequency ultrasound and microbubble cavitation.

This part is in BBb Format. It is flanked by BamHI and BglII sites instead of XbaI and SpeI. More information about the BBb Format is available at:

NOTE: A version of this brick compatible with RFC10 (BBa standard) can be found at part BBa_K338001.

Measurements of the grpE promoter are provided below in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) by the 2019 FSU iGEM team. You can increase and decrease the size, download, and print the document. In Apple Safari, the controls for interacting with the document are at the end of the document. Google Chrome provides the controls above the document. We hope that sharing the document in this format will provide a pleasant experience.
