Trp promoter

Promoter of Tryptophan operon ( Tryptophan operon is an operon that codes for the components of tryptophan's synthesis)

Usage and Biology

Presence of Tryptophan inhibits the expression of genes downstream of the regulator. As the hybrid protein LovTAP ( BBa_K191006 ) contains the corresponding regulatory domain, LovTAP can also bind to the regulator and and interferes with downstream gene's expression.
