hGIF with 6xHis-tag

Human GIF with His6-tag. This part has the native signal peptide removed, as it is not required for bacterial expression or in our mammalian expression vector. This part was used to produce and purify our Human GIF in bacteria, through the composite parts BBa_K421403 (with LacI promotor) and BBa_K421404 (with LacI promotor and pelB leader sequence).

Usage and Biology

  • NCBI page of the human gastric intrinsic factor [1]
  • This part of hGIF does not contain the native signal peptide (AA1-18)
  • This part was used in parts BBa_K421403[2] and BBa_K421404[3]
