AgrA2 Quorum Sensing Transcription Factor; C. difficile

Quorum sensing transcription factor from C. difficile. It is one of the members of the two-component detection system, adapted from C. difficile, that is bound by AgrC2 in response to Autoinducing peptide (AIP), which phosphorylates it. The released phosphorylated AgrA2 dimerizes with itself and becomes active. Upon activation, it binds to AgrPromoter (BBa_K3183003) which results in upregulation of transcription.
