Streptococcus Pyogenes dCAS9

The dCAS9 protein used in theCRISPR repressor 2013 paper. The sequence of the part has been modified to be compatible with iGEM standard. The dCAS9 accepts a gRNA (BBa_K2841514) which directs it to a site of interest. The structure for the protein family has been solved.

The protein is shown in wheat colour BBa_K2841510. The RNA cis acting factor (for the dCAS9 protein to recognise the gRNA) is in grey BBa_K2841514. The gRNA's targeting region (what specifies the target sequence) is in green BBa_K2841514.
