GUS reporter for plant expression

The GUS reporter gene system is commonly used in plant molecular biology for visualization of expression patterns. This is the first addition of this important reporter gene to the iGEM registry.

The GUS gene is cloned into the golden gate version of pSB1C3 (P10500) using BsmBI and conforms to the [http://2016.igem.org/Resources/Plant_Synthetic_Biology/PhytoBricks Phytobrick standard]. It is flanked by BsaI sites together 5' AATG and 3' GCTT cloning sequences for subsequent cloning into a level 1 plasmid.

This has been used to generate the composite reporter constructs detailed in the 2018 Cardiff_Wales Parts page
