This part was created by the fusion of the heavy and light ferritin subunits (PARTSTS) to form the form the fusion subunit. The lacI promoter (PART), double terminator (PART) and his tag was also added in order to induce protein expression and allow purification. This part is similar to ____ PART, but instead of the E-coil, it is replaced by TALB(PART). This part was primarily used as a backup in the case our coiled-coil systems did not bind to eachother. It was intended to have the same functions as _____ PART___, but with the additional DNA binding capabilities given by TALB.

The lacI promoter (BBa_J04500), double terminator (BBa_B0015) and his-tag was also added in order to induce protein expression and allow purification. This part is similar to BBa_K1189018, but instead of the E-coil, it is replaced by TALA(BBa_K1189004). This part was primarily used as a backup in the case the coiled-coil system was ineffective at binding TALEs to the ferritin scaffold.
