Constitutively expressed chromoprotein cjBlue
The device consists of a strong promoter (BBa_J23100) combined with RBS (BBa_B0032) and the encoding region of the chromoprotein cjBlue. This results in a constitutively high expression of cjBlue.
Usage and Biology
During cultivation the chromoprotein cjBlue is expressed and stored intracellular. The greenish color of the protein can be seen by naked eye, thus you can use the chromoprotein as a reporter or selection marker and seperate cells easily.
