pMB1 ori - constitutive RFP
This is a minimal high-copy replication origin coupled to the constitutive RFP casette BBa_K864502. Any vector containing K864121 will be propagated at high copy and express a strong red color after 12-18 hours of incubation. Also known as "pUCori-redq".
Usage and Biology
Usable as default insert of low and medium copy backbones, especially in lacI positive systems. This is the default insert of the pSB4x15Iq and pSB8x15 series of backbones.
