Applications of BBa_J45200
The production of isoamyl acetate was verified by scent: E. coli with no BSGD did not produce isoamyl acetate (that is, they did give off banana scent) when isoamyl alcohol was added to the medium, while E. coli with the BSGD did produce isoamyl acetate when isoamyl alcohol was added to the medium.
