fluorescent protein mTurquoise

Fluorescent protein mTurquoise with an excitation maximum of 434 nm and emission maximum of 474 nm. Can be used together in a system with mVenus, another fluorescent protein, for FRET. This can be used to study protein-protein interactions. This BioBrick is mTurquoise with an N-terminal GS-linker to allow for fusion with another protein. In our case that was MazF, a toxin (BBa_K4604011). Also used and further characterized in BioBricks BBa_K4604017 and BBa_K4604018.
