(S)-linalool synthase: LGF
The linalool synthase is used to convert geranyl pyrophosphate(GPP) to linalool, which has aroma of lavendar. This is a codon-optimized version based on E.coli.

We have reached a cooperation with XJTU-China to test whether their LGF bacteria can work normally in 2019.
The LGF strain contains two plasmids, pGPP and pSB1K3-LGF. GPP can be synthesized by plasmid pGPP, while linalool can be synthesized by plasmid pSB1K3-LGF using GPP as substrate.
We qualitatively and quantitatively detected linalool in samples by gas chromatography.
Test results are as follows:
(1) qualitative detection
Chromatogram of linalool standard solution
<img src="https://parts.igem.org/File:T--NWU-CHINA-B--sepubiao.jpg" />
The retention time of linalool in the standard solution was 8.455min, and the peak area was 788,307.
Chromatogram of linalool sample
<img src="https://parts.igem.org/File:T--NWU-CHINA-B--sepuyangpin.jpg" />
The retention time of linalool in the sample was 8.431min, and the peak area was 632439. The sample contains a peak with a retention time close to that in the standard solution, which can be inferred as the product astragaloside.
(2) Quantitative detection
The quantitative measurement result of linalool is 377.66mg/ml.
