GFP.lacZalpha fusion
This part is a fusion protein between GFP (BBa_E0040) and the N-terminal alpha fragment of lacZ (which encodes β-galactosidase). It is a reporter which can be measured via fluorescence from GFP or through a Miller assay of β-galactosidase.
The GFP does not function well. See BBa_E0051 for a better part.
