Usage and Biology

  • Chloramphenicol resistant up to 3500 ug/ml. Tetracycline sensitive at 1.5 ug/ml. Kanamycin sensitive at 5 ug/ml (spayne and tk 6/6/05)
  • Chloramphenicol resistant up to 800 ug/ml - tested with E. coli DH5alpha according to the standardized procedure (Wiegand et al., Agar and broth dilution methods to determine the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of antimicrobial substances. Nature Protocols 3(2), 163-175, 2008)
