Interlab_NegC

Non-fluorescent negative control for InterLab studies 2022. It uses the same elements as the fluorescent constructs but expresses a non-fluorescent protein (LuxR). It includes a region upstream of the promoter to insulate transcription, a promoter (J23106), a RiboJ to insulate translation, the B0032 RBS, the CDS for the LuxR protein, and an efficient transcriptional terminator (rnpB_T1). It imposes the same burden on the bacteria for a more fair growth comparison between the different devices.

Specially designed for the Interlab_2022_DoubleConstructs and Interlab_2022_ThreeColors studies.

It can be used as negative control for fluorescent measurements in general.
