A 15 base pair long DNA spacer sequence. Used to prevent ribosome collision in bicistronic constructs.

Usage and Biology

Spacer sequences are non-coding DNA sequences used to space different genes apart. This spacer sequence was taken from the non-coding region of lambda phage, between ORF64 and the S holin gene[1].
