Wild type promoter of hxlAB operon

The HxlR protein is a formaldehyde-responsive transcription factor from Bacillus subtilis located upstream of the hxlAB operon [1,2]. In the presence of formaldehyde, HxlR protein activates the promoter of the hxlAB operon to promote hxlAB operon expression in Bacillus subtilis [1,2].
