Ketone Production Operon DBHBb Under the Control of the PLAC Inducible Promoter
This parts entry represents the DBHBb ketone production operon under the control of the BgaRL lactose inducible system from C. perfringens where the divergent PbgaR BBa_K2992020 and PbgaL BBa_K2992023 promoter sequences, coupled with their native 5’-UTR and RBS sequences BBa_K2992022 and BBa_K2992024 respectively control the transcription of bgaR and the pathway.
The first gene in the KPO is the thiolase gene thl BBa_K2992008, followed by phbB from Cupriavidus necator [1] and finally tesB [2] from Escherichia coli.
Transcriptional termination for this synthetic ketone production operon occurs via Tfdx from C. pasteurianum K2284012.
