6xHis-Tag
This part contains six times Histidin (His), which can be used for protein purification. It has the characteristic, that it can bind to Ni2+ ions and form a chelat-complex. Therefore, the 6xHis tag can be used to extract the protein using Nickel-based affinity columns. Furthermore, established anti-His antibodies can bind to the 6xHis-tag. This can be used for FACS measurements or protein detection (Booth et al. 2018).
