Unfolding RNA hairpin loop Gamma

This hairpin loop structure can be unfolded by the complementary base pairing of a target primary sequence of RNA, or "sense" RNA (sRNA). The sRNA can bind to regions VR1 and VR2, causing the unfolding of the hairpin loop as the clamp region is released from the 20bp region, opening up these regions for function (e.g opens up a ribosome binding site / targeting region of a gRNA).

Changing the VR1 and VR2 regions changes what RNA sequence will activate the part. Changing the clamp and 20bp regions will change the function of the unfolded RNA.

Our constructs are Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon
