uvrY Biosensor with lux Sp1 and luxSp2 Promoters
The sensor fluoresces based upon the presence of uvrY, with more fluorescence with increased uvrY. This device utilizes the luxSp1 and luxSp2 promoters in tandem to promote the production of GFP upon activation; these two promoters for the luxS gene can be induced through binding with UvrY, a known transcription regulator of the luxS gene.
