Applications of BBa_M36558

I used this part as an estradiol sensor with a comet actuator. The sensor was supposed to repress the comet protein expression as a signal of high levels of estrogen.

This sensor did not work properly in E. coli. we suspect that cofactors are necessary for this protein to act as a transcription factor. mRNA was verified, so the protein is most likely produced. expression of comet was high.
