Design Notes
We wanted to refactor the genome of the M13 to faciliate future engineering. In doing so, we want to "clean up" the wildtype genes so that they are independent of each other and can be easily engineered independent of each other. We also want to delete unnecessary or obscure sequences for better human understanding of the M13 genome.
