BborAMP1
BborAMP1 is a novel antimicrobial peptide gene found in the genome sequence of the thermophilic bacteria Brevibacillus borstelensis AK1. This AMP is known for its ability to inhibit Staphylococcus aureus. Our project aims at expressing this peptide in Escherichia coli, purifying and testing its ability to inhibit Staphylococcus aureus.
