Part:BBa_K5471004
AAV2 ITRs (left and right)
This part contains the left (5' end) and and right(3' end) Inverted Terminal Repeat sequences corresponding to the AAV2 adeno-associated virus serotype. Between them, an area of 12bp is placed for the insertion of a part, gene or cassette. Individual left and right ITR sequences have also been uploaded as basic parts https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K5471021 , https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K5471022
This ITRs are used in the rAAV procuction process, and the DNA sequence that is placed between the two ITRs (including them) will be whole of the viral DNA the produced rAAV2 particles will carry. In the rAAV production model, the desired cassette and pair of ITRs can be inserted in an already existing plasmid backbone, for the formation of a Transfer Gene plasmid (one of the three plasmids required for rAAV production, pRepCap and pHelper).
This part's sequence was used for the construction of the pAAV-EF1a-mir195-eGFP-SV40pA plasmid https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K5471020 our team used for our experiments Sequence and Features
