Design Notes

We set the expression level to an appropriate amount for the BIND-System. Referring to previous studies that constructed whole-cell biocatalysts using CsgA, we used the RBS Calculator from the Salis Lab to determine the strength.


Source

We searched for previous studies overexpressing CsgA for the construction of a biotypic catalyst. We then decided to refer to the plasmid Rec-PhoA/CsgA (Addgene #170787) developed by Ahan RE (2019).
