Design Notes
The Q-sensor was designed with specific optimization for E. coli, including adjustments to the GC content and codon optimization. Optimization of the linkers was critical for the Q-sensor to ensure that the sensor itself promoted efficient binding and quenching with the target protein (in our case Keratin).
