Part:BBa_K5403011
Membrane protein FtsQ of M. smegmatis
The mycobacterial protein FtsQ is a putative cell division protein and was shown to be part of the vesicles of M. smegmatis (Prados-Rosales et al., 2011). The protein is documented in the mycobacterial database MyCoBrowser (MyCoBrowser, MSMEG_4225).
This part was designed as a domain for the composite part (BBa_K5403020), which is a fusion protein of FtsQ, a flexible linker and GFP, aiming to anchor the GFP into the membrane of the vesicles of M. smegmatis.
