HRV 3C site-enzyme cleavage site
The HRV 3C protease is an enzyme commonly used in the field of biotechnology, which is able to specifically recognize and cut a specific amino acid sequence Leu-Glu-Val-Leu-Phe-Gln↓Gly-Pro, thereby cutting the affinity label on the fusion protein. The cutting site of HRV 3C is here to facilitate the removal of His tags by immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) for protein affinity purification.
