SV40 late pA
The SV40 late polyadenylation signal (SV40 late pA) is derived from the simian virus 40. It facilitates transcription termination and polyadenylation of mRNA transcribed by RNA polymerase II, ensuring the proper processing and maturation of the transcript.
By promoting the addition of a poly(A) tail to the 3' end of mRNA, the SV40 late pA enhances transcript stability, export from the nucleus, and translation efficiency. The SV40 late pA is essential for optimizing mRNA functionality and ensuring effective gene expression in mammalian systems.
