MBP-CAAR-v2
This composite part is made up of the following protein domains: EF1a promoter, Igk signal peptide, MBP (aa 83-99) autoantibody binding domain, CD8a hinge and transmembrane, CD28 signalling, 4-1-BB signalling,CD3z signalling domain and a translation regulatory element (polyA signal and stop codons). All these domains result in a chimeric protein that can recognise and bind to anti-MBP antibodies and produce cell responses. This makes the receptor ideal for halting disease progression in multiple sclerosis, if we employ it in a manner similar to traditional CAR-T cells.
