sh-PGC1α
shRNA targeting PGC1α to downregulate its expression, potentially reversing mitochondrial adaptations and reducing chemotherapy resistance in tumor cells.
Usage and Biology
PGC1α (Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1 alpha) is a key regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis, controlling mitochondrial function and energy metabolism in tumor cells. Recent studies have shown that upregulation of PGC1α is closely associated with chemotherapy resistance in tumor cells, as it helps maintain mitochondrial integrity and prevent apoptosis, allowing tumor cells to survive and resist chemotherapy.
sh-PGC1α is designed to knock down PGC1α expression, inhibiting mitochondrial biogenesis, increasing chemotherapy sensitivity, and inducing apoptosis in tumor cells. This part can be used to explore the role of PGC1α in chemotherapy resistance and offers a potential strategy to overcome drug resistance in cancer therapy.
