sh-CLDN6
encoding an shRNA that can successfully knock down expression of CLDN6
Usage and Biology
CLDN6 (Claudin-6) is a member of the claudin family of proteins, which are critical components of tight junctions in epithelial cells. Overexpression of CLDN6 has been implicated in tumor progression and chemotherapy resistance, as it affects cell adhesion, proliferation, and survival in certain types of cancer, including breast cancer.
sh-CLDN6 is designed to specifically target and downregulate CLDN6 expression in tumor cells. By silencing CLDN6, this part can reduce tumor cell proliferation, enhance chemotherapy sensitivity, and promote apoptosis. It can be used to investigate the role of CLDN6 in drug resistance and potentially improve the efficacy of chemotherapy treatments in CLDN6-overexpressing tumors.
