A mutated version of the Pseudomonas species IsoF DGC (BBa_K5250004) is expressed after a rhamnose promoter.


Usage and Biology

In our project this is one of the biofilm overexpression modules we are testing. The mutation R196A is supposed to prevent the DGC from degrading cyclic di-GMP (a second messenger involved in biofilm production), increase its levels within the cell and thereby boost biofilm production.
