Pxut

Pxut is a promoter from the genome of Pseudomonas fluorescens which contains an operon sequence that is recognized by the xylose-binding protein XutR when a XutR-xylose complex is formed.

Usage and Biology

We used the xylose inducible XutR-Pxut as the sensing module in our construct. It activates our entire genetic circuit and is directly linked to the antitoxin component of our kill switch. It is part of various Level 2 testing plasmids assembled with the Golden Gate system.
