GjUGT94E13_opt (UDP-glucosyltransferase)
The protein encoded by the GjUGT94E13 gene is a UDP-glycosyltransferase that participates in crocin biosynthesis in Gardenia jasminoides. In previous studies, GjUGT94E13 was shown to be responsible for catalyzing the production of crocetin from crocetin by adding glucose molecules to the crocetin molecule.
