p43, cre binding sites version A

p43 promoter, two identical cre (catabolite responsive elements) binding sites (identified from B. subtilis amyE gene). This part suppresses the transcription of downstream genes when the CcpA-HPrSerP complex binds to the cre sites. The CcpA-HPrSerP complex forms in the presence of extracellular glucose through the CCR pathway.
