RFP without a stop codon

Usage and Biology

This part is a derivative of part BBa_E1010 which codes for a highly engineered mutant of red fluorescent protein from Discosoma striata (coral), added to the parts repository in 2004. This iteration of RFP contains the same coding sequence, but has had the double stop codon and the DNA barcode removed. Removal of these sequences allows for the addition of a C-terminal tag, or to create fusion proteins with RFP.
