Deg Q Expression Construct

This part is designed to express the degQ gene from Bacillus subtilis XF-1, which helps increase the production of fengycin, a lipopeptide known for its antifungal activity. The construct consists of the following components:

T7 Promoter (BBa_I719005): A strong promoter used for high-level expression in systems that have T7 RNA polymerase, like many engineered E. coli strains. This ensures the degQ gene gets transcribed efficiently.

RBS (BBa_B0034): A standard ribosome binding site that ensures the degQ gene is translated efficiently after being transcribed.

degQ Gene: The degQ gene encodes a regulatory protein that increases fengycin production. Fengycin is important for controlling fungal pathogens, which makes this part useful in agricultural projects focused on biocontrol.

T1 Terminator (BBa_B0010): A common terminator used to stop transcription, ensuring that the mRNA produced is properly processed and stable.
