Resilin Oligo 1 repeat
The aim was to generate 64 repeats of the resilin sequence (BBa_K5077000). In order to achieve this, the Repeatigo method was developed. Six distinct Oligonucleotides are necessary for the Repeatigo method. This specific Oligonucleotide is one of them. Further details can be found in the description of part BBa_K5077019.
What´s so special about this part?
This oligo represents the resilin exon as a whole and is 45 bp long. It binds to the oligo 2 repeat (BBa_K5077002) for about 23 bp and creates the middle part of the desired sequence. After binding to the oligo 2 repeat, there are overhangs on both sides, allowing the middle part to grow with more oligo 1 repeat and oligo 2 repeat on both sides.
