Tobacco Mosaic Virus coat protein
This part encodes for the coat protein of the Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV). The capsid of the TMV is composed of thousands of these coat proteins that assemble around the genome of the virus to protect it. To do so, the coat proteins recognize a specific sequence on the viral genome called the Origin of Assembly Sequence (OAS). Once the coat proteins bind to the OAS, they form disulfides bridges and can self-assemble into a capsid.
