Applications of BBa_K4933002

The immediate application for this specific DNAzyme is to act as a control. It will get activated when it detects Delta specific sequence (X parameter) and Omicron specific sequence (Y parameter) but will be deactivated when it detects CoVID specific sequence (Z parameter). This condition will always be violated since the sample cannot be positive of omicron and delta variant of CoVID while not being CoVID in the first place. Hence it acts as a control for our system.
Beyond its immediate application in pathogen detection, our platform opens the door to a wide array of potential uses in the development of organic logic circuits. By expressing DNAzyme detection as a Boolean expression (X AND Y AND NOT Z), we simplify the design of future detection systems.
