Two component flavin dependent monooxygenase

4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid-3-monooxygenase (HpaBC) is widely present in various microorganisms and undergoes hydroxylation reactions on various aromatic compounds, including tyrosol, naringin, p-coumaric acid, caffeic acid, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylpyruvate, ferulic acid, and coninal. HpaBC is a two component flavin dependent monooxygenase that uses FMN or FAD reduced by reductase for molecular oxygen activation. These two components are generally encoded adjacent to each other on the genome. It can catalyze the ortho hydroxylation of 4HPA. HpaB is a FADH2 dependent monooxygenase, while HPAC is a flavin dependent oxidoreductase that supplies FADH/FMNH- to HpaB Studies have shown that HpaBC from Escherichia coli has strong catalytic ability for tyrosol and is used to synthesize hydroxytyrosol. Therefore, in this study, we selected HpaBC encoding hydroxylase from Escherichia coli
