pQE80L-Kan

pQE80L is part of the cis-Repressed pQE vector Set from Qiagen that contain the lacIq gene. As such, it does not require host strains which contains the low-copy plasmid pREP4 which confers kanamycin resistance and constitutively expresses the lac repressor protein encoded by the lac I gene. Expression of recombinant protein is induced by isopropyl-β-D-thiogalactoside (IPTG) which binds to the lac repressor protein and inactivates it. The pQE80L plasmid paces a 6His tag at the N-terminus of the protein.
