Nitrous Oxide Reductase Coding Sequence
Nitrous Oxide Reductase (nosZ) changes nitrous oxide to dinitrogen gas. This allows for a nitrifier denitrification pathway to continue in another organism as we insert it. It works together with AMO and HAO to take nitrate from ammonia to dinitrogen gas. This sequence is meant to be expressed in the microalgae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.

The above pictures show confirmation of the nosZ gene being implemented into our L2 plasmid build. The fluorescence comes from a clover tag that was used to build the nosZ L1 transcriptional unit. Colonies with a successful nosZ gene glow green.
